Lhauren Singleton, Executive Director

Youth advocate, non-profit leader, and influential speaker are just a few words to describe Lhauren Singleton. She currently serves her community as the Executive Director for ASPIRE Relationship Education. For Singleton, the work she does stems from a passion that began when she was one of the teenagers she now aims to help. As a Freshman in High School, Singleton participated in the SMART program, which she credits as a stepping stone that led her where she is today.

Now, she is a certified sexual risk avoidance specialist and certified leadership coach. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry Leadership with a minor in Business Management from Cornerstone University. Since joining the ASPIRE team, Singleton has spearheaded the development of Ready, Set, ASPIRE! - an online academy for relationship education that aims to equip and empower youth and their families to make positive choices and have healthy relationships.

One of her greatest aspirations is to continue to help individuals realize their own value as early in life as possible, and recognize the lasting impact of making positive choices.

In her personal life, Singleton is a wife and mother of children, Nicholas and Noah. She resides in the Greater Lansing area with her family where they enjoy visiting local parks, attending their local farmer’s markets, and spending time serving their community.

Lori Bolan, Founder

Lori L. Bolan, Founder of ASPIRE, was raised in Michigan and received her Bachelors of Science degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. Soon after graduating she moved to Houston,Texas where she managed a Contract Engineering firm for 5 years. She married her husband Dave in 1984, had Lindsey in 1986 and moved back to Michigan in 1987. Lori started her own business and worked as an Independent Contractor for 3 years. The previous years of employment proved to be stepping stones that prepared her for a position that became more than just a job. Lori’s passion is to equip teens and young adults with the tools that will help them truly like and respect themselves first, then empower them to be confident in making choices and decisions that benefit them not only today, but in the future. Lori believes that medical accuracy breeds credibility in this industry and has attended numerous trainings over the years. The most recent was in 2014 when Lori completed a Master’s level course offered by the National Abstinence Education Association and received her Sexual Risk Avoidance Specialist certification. Her favorite part of the leading SMART program for 25 years was working with the students in the classroom and seeing them “get it” along with reading their comments confirming this and indicating their appreciation at the end of the presentation.
